9.1 azface api key and endpoint

An ongoing free Azure subscription is available. The subscription allows up to 30,000 transactions per month with a maximum of 20 per minute (last checked at Azure Pricing 20210405). The free subscription is available from https://azure.microsoft.com/free/. After subscribing visit https://portal.azure.com and Create a resource under AI and Machine Learning called Face. Once created you can access the web subscription key and endpoint from the portal. These will be prompted for when running a mlhub azface command. The credentials will be saved to file so you won;t need to provide them again.

The demo command is a good place to start to test your key.

When running any of the azface commands for the very first time you will be asked for your Azure Face key and endpoint. You can provide the key and endpoint at that time.

You can also enter the key and endpoint using command line options:

$ ml detect azface --key 'xxx' --endpoint 'https://yyy' ...

The key and endpoint can also be stored in a local file, perhaps call it key.txt

key = 'xxx'
endpoint = 'https://yyy'

And then reference that file:

$ ml detect azface --key-file key.txt ...
